Welcome to our 13. Day of the Natural Highs Academy!

I hope you had a chance to check out our new Human Needs Card Deck. I so would love to hear your reaction to the different needs. Which ones resonated with you? Which ones alienated you? Which ones do you feel good about? Which ones feel heavy or challenging? During this time where all our "normal" is shaken up, I think there is a tremendous opportunity to meet ourselves in a new way:  Who am I - really? What needs do I have? What does Self-love mean? Do I even know my own needs?

I invite you to play a game of exploration with yourselves: Print out the attached Human Needs Card Deck and cut out the cards. Spread them out on a table or go through them and sort them into 3 piles:  1. Pile:  Put the cards that resonate a lot with you right now and seem most important in your life right now 2. Pile: Needs that feel somewhat important 3. Pile: Needs that feel completely unimportant to you right now. Once you have the three piles take the 1. Pile and sort for the three most important needs for you right now. Feel free to lay them out in front of you and let them speak to you: - Are you actively taking care of these needs? - Do they feel well nourished or do they need some support? - What could you do to support those needs in our circumstances right now? You don't have to answer these questions quickly. It would be great to just live with these questions for a while and see what arises:  “Be patient toward all that is unsolved in your heart and try to love the questions themselves, like locked rooms and like books that are now written in a very foreign tongue. Do not now seek the answers, which cannot be given you because you would not be able to live them. And the point is, to live everything. Live the questions now. Perhaps you will then gradually, without noticing it, live along some distant day into the answer.”                                                                                                                Rainer Maria Rilke  Feel free to use these questions as journal prompts or artwork prompts.Invent ways to "play" this exploration with others.
