Welcome to our 3. Day of the Natural Highs Academy!

Updated: Apr 14, 2020

Dear friends,

How are you?

I so wish I could talk with you in person and see how you are doing.

These times can bring out the best in people and they can bring out the worst in all of us.

Both is human.

At Natural Highs, we are trying to send out inspiration for you to connect with the creative side with hopes that you can nurture your inspired, productive side during these times.

These times remind me of a book I received a long time ago. I was working at the Boulder County Jail and I got the book "We are all doing time" by Bo Lozoff from an inmate. The book was written as an instruction manual in how to turn the time in jail or prison into a productive time, like a meditation retreat. When you read the book you can see that "we are all doing time", we are all staying locked up in our own minds with our own fears and habits. It is often during times of fear that we constrict more than necessary. We take the prison cell into our own heads - it's also called COMFORT ZONE.

Today's activity is about noticing where we constrict ourselves too much, where we keep ourselves in our comfort zone and really loose a lot of possibilities and aliveness because of it.

TODAY'S ACTIVITIES:

- Check out Today's Worksheet with ideas how to recognize your own COMFORT ZONE and ideas how to challenge yourself beyond it.

- Please take this wherever you would like to go: go outside and look around what you are noticing, take a piece of paper and write or draw or collage, let your inspiration take you.

- We welcome you to send your inspiration: artwork, poems, photographs, worksheets, videos, songs, etc. to: avani@naropa.edu.The most inspiring creations will be included in our daily emails.

- If you need some inspiration first check out the video below on the work the Human Kindness Foundation has done in prisons and jails to help incarcerated people find inner freedom.

To get the book "We are all doing time" and to donate to this amazing organization:

Feel free to share any of these resources with anyone - teen or adult - who you think might benefit from daily inspiration and structure during these times.

I so look forward to have you be part of the Natural Highs Community.

We can support each other to make the best of these times

Stay strong & inspired ❤️

Avani

Thank you, I believe it will be beneficial to me. As a student, I am frequently required to write extensively, which can be exhausting at times. But now I'm relieved because I've discovered a dependable service where I can order various types of assignments and especially when I need help with phd. Because of them, I can devote more time to my other work projects and have some free time.
